Karen E. Peterson, Ph.D. is the author of Write: 10 Days to Overcome Writer's Block and The Tomorrow Trap: Unlocking the Secrets of the Procrastination-Protection Syndrome and creator of the SLU Journal Series. Karen is a licensed psychologist with offices in the greater Phoenix area (Tempe and Carefree, AZ).

Karen has taught university courses in writing, motivational strategies, and self-psychology. She has delivered over 350 workshops and keynote addresses, and has been the subject of numerous print (e.g., The Boston Herald) and broadcast (e.g., CBS This Morning) interviews. A member of the American Psychological Association since 1988, Karen is also currently a member of A.P.A. Division 46—Media Psychology, and A.P.A. Division 10—Aesthetics, Creativity, and the Arts.
